Meet Dr. Hofflich

Dr. Heather L. Hofflich, DO, is a board-certified endocrinologist and Professor at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, where she has been on faculty since 2008. With over 20 years of clinical experience, she specializes in diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, PCOS, menopause, and hormonal health.

Known for her warm, thorough, and patient-centered approach, Dr. Hofflich has been named a San Diego Top Doctor every year from 2011 to 2025 — a testament to her dedication and the trust her patients place in her.

She completed her endocrinology fellowship at UC Irvine, her internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai/Beth Israel, and her medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She received the Larry Friedman Mentorship Award in 2023 for her exceptional commitment to training the next generation of physicians.
